Go Team Vega!We are extremely proud to announce that Team Vega completed the Melbourne 2006 Oxfam Trailwalker in a fantastic time of 26 hours and 30 minutes! Our team of 12 walkers attempted a mammoth challenge and succeeded by crossing the finish line together. Our thanks and congratulations go to the Team Vega Support Crew who were absolutely fabulous! Team Vega began the Melbourne 2006 Oxfam Trailwalker at 8.30am on Friday, 7 April. The Team has been preparing and training for over 6 months and finally, the big day was upon us. Inclement weather proved particularly challenging, but the Team battled on to finish what has been reported as the toughest Trailwalker ever. In addition to our walking adventures, our Team fundraising goals were met and exceeded a number of times. Our current fundraising total is just over $25,000! We would like to thank everyone that has enabled this incredible donation to Oxfam Australia. A big thank you to our partner sponsor KBA Australasia and our major sponsor - the AMP Foundation. Our thanks to all those that have contributed financial and in-kind donations. Your support has been outstanding! We would also like to thank all the incredible people that contributed to Vega's Oxfam Trailwalker journey. Our thanks go to the family and friends that supported us during the walk and put up with us during training! Our sincerest thanks to the incredible Team Vega Support Crew who were spectacular in everyway. Our never ending thanks to our Team masseuses - Dee and Joanne - for providing the best massages at 2am in the morning! And to our walkers - your blood, sweat and tears are a testament to your strength. congratulations!
